Barbara McRae

Barbara McRae, CMP is the owner and Chief Planner of Strategic Events which produces creative award-winning events for clients including, Canadian Association of Research Administrators (CARA), Private Capital Equity Market Association (PCMA), Canoe Financial, IA Clarington, Compugen, Arbonne, MONAT and Knowledge Bureau.

Barbara has over 25 years’ experience working in association, corporate and third-party conference and event management in Canada and globally. Her previous experience includes managing an events team for the world’s largest IT Distribution Company responsible for over 500 events a year with a budget of 5 million dollars.

Known for her candor and coolness under pressure, Barbara is a solutions master; solving complex problems and bringing positivity and focus to all projects.

Nancy Jones

With over 30 years of experience in the Event Planning industry, Nancy Jones brings a wealth of expertise and passion to every project. Based in Cobourg, Ontario, she is known for being a dedicated team player and leader who ensures every task is completed with excellence.

Nancy’s attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and calm demeanor in high-pressure situations allow her to deliver flawlessly executed events. Her quick thinking and problem-solving abilities enable her to navigate challenges with ease, while her exceptional communication skills ensure that she effectively connects with clients and teams alike.

Her personal brand stands for trust, loyalty, and true professionalism, making her a valued partner in any event.

When she’s not planning memorable events, Nancy enjoys painting, sewing, golfing, and taking long walks with her dog.
